Dear oh dear! I recognise that joke... it's funny but its still awful. I remember back inm something like 1997 or 1998, and MP got in a lot of trouble for telling that exact same joke at a party. I don't think he was 'execute' but he did get in a hell of a lot of trouble.
How's Kazakhstan these days? Did you enjoy making your film?

I think you've asked a good question, one that many people think about when they see how an islamic country controls all aspects of life, in accordance with sharia law. A large reason for the atheist backlash going on against christianity at the moment, is because it appears they want a similar theocracy in the US. I agree with most of the answerers that banning islam will cause more problems before it fixes any, and would be extremely hypocritical to any country proclaiming freedom. The answer is simple though. Absolute separation of church and state. the acknlowledgement that in this country, you can worship according to your beliefs, but realize that you have no right or authority to push those beliefs on anyone, either in the private or public arena. That any attempt to introduce religiously-based ideology into areas such as politics, law, education, science, human rights, etc, will be treated as a threat to National Security.
