I agree, pretty much.

I think the main difference between republicans and democrats is that republicans believe that the quality of life is based on the strength of the indvidual. Democrats believe that the quality of life is based on the strength of the entire society. Republicans want to preserve the past because it allows for more individual strength--Democrats are always looking for change if it makes the world better for everyone.

I am a Repubican so I can answer the first part of the question only.

Against abortion-scientists are leaning that human life actually does start at conception-so abortion is in fact sort of a genocide

Repsect for all religions, there are many Islamic, Buddhist, Jewish and other kinds of Republicans.

No gay marriages unless science has concrete evidence that homosexuality is natural, which science does not currently have. So we lean toward the common sense part that homosexuality is not procreation and has started the AIDS epidemic, so we will not support that

Social darwinism-make bad decisions, get bad results
kind of like not studying for a test and then failing it or studying hard and acing it. We like free economies because they produce better results and actually keep poverty and unemployment lower than socialism, prefered by many Dems

Support the UN, unfortunately, there is too much corruption and too little organization within the UN-the Un has a lot of issues to deal with-so that is why we often disagree with them

Dont really care about drugs, dont use them as much, but there are more things at stake-police do a good job of cracking on illegal drugs

Tax cuts for people of all classes-this encourages spending(circulation of currency) and the economy is more healthy overall-many support flat taxes because it is based on a percentage, not an increasing percentage

Crack down on terrorism, we support the military more than terrorists

Thanks for asking, but you make it evident which side you are own by the false stereotyping and putting the Dems on a pedestal.

No, not so much.

Republicans generally agree on no abortion.
Both parties have a history of respecting religions, not just Christianity. Don't confuse that with the fact that people who don't respect other religions often agree with the GOP on other issues, namely abortion and gay marriage.
The Democrats (as a party) are against gay marriage too, but they don't agree with the GOP's extraordinary measures to impede it.
Both Democrats and Republicans are in the pocket of corporations. Look at the Supreme Court's Kelo decision as a left-leaning decision that benefited corporations.
Republicans believe that the best way to help poor people is to stimulate the economy so that there are fewer of them.

As for the UN, neither party has been particularly warm to them. That's more of a matter of national priorities than politics.

You sir, are grossly misinformed. Instead of drinking the kool-aid of the mainstream media, why not search for truth. Liberals can't debate the facts. Conservatism wins every time it's tried.

Conservatives believe
Life is sacred...in the womb or out.
freedom of religion..not freedom from religion
do not change the definition of marriage
Capitalism builds a strong and prosperous economy/society
give a man a fish..he eats for a day. teach a man how to fish..he eats for a lifetime.
the top 3% of wage earners pay 97% of the total tax bill.
The U.N. is a corrupt anti-American organization..oil for food?
We are losing the war on drugs

Liberals believe
opposite yes...good is evil..evil is good.
big government..power to liberal judges leaving the people powerless
killing the innocent and weak
changing the definition of marriage
ridding society of religion, especially Christianity. Humanists/secularists
defeat capitalism...promote socialism
make the poor slaves to government
Rid the U.S. of it's sovereignty. U.N. equals one world government

ok
Rep.
dont really like to support choice(some do)
Religion is up to the citizen(its a right in the constitution)
We dont support Gay marriage, buwe do support a legal partnership not called marriage
corporations create jobs,revenue and spending+happy life,everyone prospers
there will always be less fortunate, some by self choice, others by sloth(being used to living on the Govt.
Taxes are usaully equal to each individual across the board, any rich person who pays or doesnt pay is really not going to affect my life as a citizen in any way
the UN is a joke
Walmart has made Generic drugs cheaper to buy than most healthplans, yet so many people are against it(Unions)you get my point.

Dem.flexible= wishy washy,no values, except when its time to keep there job and how much they get caught in bad affairs, will it harm them or will there constituents care?
power to the Govt(big Govt)not to the people(since they believe we dont know whats best for us) to be able to passivly control us all
abortions yes,its better to kill a child for stem cell research, knowing nothing has come from that ,but it answers have come from adult stem cells, even results, but they dont acknowledge it
gay marriage, anything that God created(man to woman) must be torn down(that should get your head into the real realm of there thinking
religions, they would rather have a one world religion(this means the right to worship would be loss, another constitutional rule gone
tax the wealthy? anyway to destroy a job, company or any evil capitalist venture(Bill Gates) whom created new jobs etc,to them we should all be socialists
help the poor only if theres good press in it,if they get there cut first, and anyway to keep the people dependant upon the govt.since we are all too stupid to be able to do it ourselves
support the UN,WE should all feel guilty that we live here in a wealthy country thats only a little over 2 hundred years old and be ashamed of ourselves for what we have, lets give it to the UN,theyll make it all equal in the world, and life will be filled with rainbows and sunshine LOL

Gee, I wonder what side of the fence you're on. I'll answer for myself...Abortions should be illegal. I don't want the government to establish ANY primary religion. I want freedom of religion not freedom FROM religion. No gay marriages, they can live whatever way they want, but the government should not issue them legal licenses. Corporations should have the power only over their own corporations. There should be a help up, NOT a hand out for poor people. Low taxes for everyone, rich and poor. Abolish the UN, get them OUT of our country. The only drugs that should be legal are meds (and NO I don't mean weed).
Libs: Power to the people? No, they want everyone beholden to the government, so they can count on your vote. Yes they accept the fact that abortion is a form of birth control. They are all in favor of someone not being accountable for their actions (teenage girls). They believe in gay marriage, do whatever feels good, consequence be damned. Nuclear family, what's that? Respect for no religion. Libs believe religion is for weak minded people. Tax EVERYONE. The government can spend your money better than you can. Help the poor....YES. Take care of them cradle to grave so they never know how to do it themselves. They'll always need us in power. Support the UN, no matter how corrupt and useless it is.
Obviously these are generalizations, but so was your "question".

No, Democrats do not believe in "power to the people."

Yes, Democrats do believe in abortions being legal, but they do not want "the people" to make that decision via political power. Abortions are legal because of the power of the Supreme Court which thwarted the will of the people's elected state legislatures.

Democrats are hardly at all united behind gay marriage. Many Democrats oppose it. In fact, in 1996, 2/3s of the Democrats in Congress voted in favor of the Defense of Marriage Act. Pres. Clinton signed it. And quite a lot of rank-and-file Democrat Party voters have been voting in favor of banning gay marriage at the ballot box.

The rest of what you say is OK.

I think your wording favors the Democrats, but your analysis is essentially correct.

The parties themselves advocate these things, individuals of course may differ on various points. I think a majority of the republicans don't favor corporations having the power, but vote along party lines for more popular ideals such as repealing abortion rights.

dem is flexible but opposite (what the hell does that mean? are you high, or opposite?)
power to the people (power to the proletariat to overthrow the bourgeois, whatever the hell that means, and taking money from people who succeed and giving it to those who dont feel like working this decade)
abortions (murder) legal
gay marriage (because afterall, that really is the definition of marriage the founding fathers were talking about)
respect of all religions (except christianity)
tax the wealthy (so those not wanting to work this decade can buy their ramen and mac and cheese)
help the poor (to stay poor)
support the U.N. (while spitting on America's sovereignty)

ADDITION:
ensuring that rapists and murderers who make death row, get off on technicalities or "good behavior", or "isnt it wrong to kill this man for murdering all these people, arent we just as bad as he is for taking his life in return"? (so he can get out, or stay in and kill again)

democrats cheerlead for terrorists but corporations (made up of citizens succeeding on their own) are bad

I think you let your liberal side in a little to this question. "low taxes for the rich?" how about even taxes across the board. "poor people fending for them selves" conservatives statistically give more money to private charities than dems. we think its not the govt job to take our money and spend it how they want.

and the broad use of rep and dem isnt correct some in both parties are for or against these things. the name is just a guide line. you dont have to agree or dissagree with all of these to be considered either.
