what is the publication date for the Odyssey???

i am reading the Odyssey at school and we need to find the date of publication of the Odyssey by Homer, so does anyone have any idea what it is?

For academic purposes, you want the copyright date for the particular translation that you're using. Homer never "published" the Odyssey; it was around as oral tradition for some indeterminate period of time before it was written down.
