well it all depends on what you are looking for.

if you are looking at something that you don't want to be high activity or just something you can chill out and play with your friends the ps3 is yours. But if you are looking at something that you can not just play but take part in, be in the game, the wii is your buddy. I personally prefer the wii, because I like to get into the game and not just chill out. although you can download old classics via wi-fi through the wii. Also the PS3 is multiple times more expensive than the wii. But when it comes to graphics, both have good graphics but the ps3 smokes the wii in the long run. But also when you buy the wii you are playing with something that is so state of the art it feels sacred to you. But it is your choice. I would choose the wii.

Theyre completely different systems man. I wanted a PS3 for a while, but then I decided that I wasnt going to be paying $600 for Resistance (Its actually like $650 with tax). Ive played the PS3 and it really is not "The Future" or "The Greatest thing since the invention of the wheel" as Sony would have you believe. Its a good system and has some great games lined up for it, but I am going to be waiting a good 6 months before I even think of buying a PS3. The Wii is awesome and I think I'll be buying that. The games are a riot and it's only $250. If I were you though, the Xbox 360 has the most and best games right now and is at a fairly reasonable price. Ive had one since launch and I love it, its probably my favorite system ever. Basically, if you want to watch Blu Ray movies, and can wait a while for some good games to be coming out (read: Motorstorm, its awesome) go with PS3. If you want innovation and a great time go with Wii. If you want the best games around right now, the best games of 2007, and the system with the best online and features go with 360.

That depends. If you are looking for a family/ uniqe experiance, than buy the Wii. I have one and it kicks ***. If you want a gaming/music/internet/blue-ray/dvd player with more adult games. Then get the PS3. Also if price is a factor, the Wii ($250) is $350 cheaper than the "cheap" PS3. But it will cost more on E-bay, which is about the only place to get them right now.

Well the Wii is much Cheaper, and is a lot of interactive moving around fun, involves energy and is exciting and fun for everyone. Playstation 3 is the expensive choice. Much different then the wii because its a traditional system . It can also read blu ray. This has great graphics (i think better then wii but just personal opinion) and is better for someone who just wants to relax and play video games.

I'd probably say the Wii, just because the gaming experience is more unique. Then again, if you don't won't to like...move around while you're playing a game, it might not be the best thing. But it IS $250, while the PS3 is what...$600??

From what I've heard, the PS3 isn't all it's cracked up to be. Plus the Wii is interactive, and you may get a slight amount of exercise while using it. HAHA! People can no longer say we video game addicts sit around on the couch all day!

Ideally you should get both, but since that isn't financially possible for most people, I've compiled a list of some of the good and bad points of each. Hope this helps!

PS3
Good: Fantastic graphics, loads of multimedia capabilities, great games, power baby!
Bad: Price, weak online support (no integrated online system means no Friends list, and potentially laggy game servers), price.

Wii
Good: Innovative controls, price, Zelda: Twilight Princess, great games (natch).
Bad: Graphics (not as bad as most people want you to believe, but certainly not good), weak online support (this *is* Nintendo, you know), the awesome controls may turn out to be somewhat gimmicky if not embraced by developers (no worries thus far).
