that's a very interesting question.and, yes, her comments about christians are totally uncalled for.but you know hollywood.a lot of them, are quick to judge christians, insult us,and,of course, accuse us of judging them.especially if they live a lifestyle, have a religion,or set of beliefs, that we don't approve of.
rosie has always been bold, outspoken, and quite obnoxious, from what i've seen.i'm surprised, though,to hear that she insulted chinese people.i know that rosie can say things, that are very offensive.but to disrespect chinese people and their language?that's carrying things way too far.
i think rosie does have a lot of talent, as a comedian, actress, and talk show hostess.but her arrogant personality, has gotten even more arrogant and offensive lately.
maybe rosie wants attention.when those celebrities get publicity, they become front page news in the tabloids.i wonder if they just act the way they do,to see how people will react to their little shenanigans.
i don't watch the view.i only heard about rosie's big blowup over kelly ripa's comment to clay aiken.rosie took that very, very offensively.but i think she got too defensive,by accusing kelly of being homophobic.i don't approve of the gay lifestyle,so i guess i'm homophobic.but i don't judge gay people or look down on them.they, too, are all created by god, just as we are.and just like everyone on this planet, they have their gifts and special qualities that make them unique and valuable.
rosie, even though she can be annoying, has her good qualities, too.maybe the people at abc see that.rosie could be a very valuable asset to the show.since she came on,maybe she's bringing in more viewers.which means, higher ratings, and of course, more money.
things could be worse.yet they're not so great, either.with hollywood, you don't know what to expect anymore.

Because it gets people (like you, sorry) to talk about it, and there's no such thing as bad publicity.
Also, Rosie is a lesbian (sorry to break it to you all that didn't know) and is a RABID attacker of anyone or anything she perceives as being anti-gay (eg: the recent 'Clay Aiken's hand' incident) and ABC may be afraid of her for that. Besides, ABC kept 'Ellen' on the air for how many years, when only one show (the 'Coming out' episode) broke out of the bottom 50 for ratings.
So, pretty much because she's loud and will attack anyone opposed to her beliefs as an anti-gay bigot.

Two main reasons. Piggy Rosie creates ratings and rating are money. Plus if they fire her or come down on her, ABC fears they will lose "gay dollars" or gain "gay protests." Rosie is the out, loud and proud lesbian most gay women hate. She can hardly order a Big Mac without some gays rights rally needing to break out. She is just a fire plug of a women in tacky flannel.
The View has had problems and caught heat over Lisa Ling and they are now afraid to piss anyone or any group off.

i can't stand rosie o donnell, she's so damn obnoxious. i lie awake at night wishing that she would just disappear from the face of the fcuking earth. everything about her makes me sick. and it wasnt just because of this situation, i just never liked her from the beginning. she's ugly to look at, she's rude and obnoxious, she's loud and pig-like, and she looks like she would smell. I remember a long time ago when she was on The Rosie O Donnell show and Donny Osmond said something about a helicopter, and Rosie was like "i would love to ride in a helicopter someday" and Donny goes "yea but it probably cant hold that much weight" regarding to Rosie's gigantic ***. and she cried and made a huge deal about it. BUt anyways.... it just shows me that if you can't take jokes yourself, then don't joke about other people. if she wants to be funny, then she should be telling knock-knock jokes instead of making fun of other people, unless she wants us to make fun of her..........because there is an *** load of things that i can say about her.

I love Rosie, the ratings on the view have through the roof
its called freedom of speech and if the producers are OK
with her remarks, what can you do except watch something
else. Did you really like Starr Jones, yuch, and what about
Joy Bahr, Rosie is Rosie you either love her or hate her.

I refuse to watch such biased drivel.
I think everyone at ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN should be sent to Iran for a year for sensitivity training...

I don't care for Rosie either. She's an old skag and needs to be hit in the head with a brick.
