If your breast are starting to show, or your concerned that your nipplie might be showing through your cloths, than it is a good time to start wearing a bra. You don't have to worry about telling your mom, she went through the same thing you are going through now.
Just wait until the two of you are alone and bring up the subject. If you can't get up the nerve to talk to her about, ask her to take you shopping for something else, then just sorta wonder over to the lingire section.

I'll preface this by say as a guy, Don't hesitate 2 speak 2 mom! She has been there, I hope. Good 2 notice chest. When 2 wear bra - lets see. when U have some thing there? Just a wild guess. Just ask her like U did here is fine. Don't wait until U r like 25, 30 2 ask.

the right time is when you are most comfortable--or you become uncomfortable and need one.
there are "training" bras to start with--that are elasticky and so easy to fit sizes. But also, you go to the lingerie department and start trying on sizes. each brand is slightly different, but once you find a brand, type and color you like, you buy a couple. (and try to remember those facts next time!)
hopefully, you just walk up to her, and say "mom, could we shop for a bra sometime?" I think she'll be really excited and happy to have another grown-girl in the house to do that sort of shopping with :-)
good luck,
welcome to womanhood, sister!

When you start noticing your chest and it is beginning to develop, that is the time for a bra. Start with a training bra or a sports bra. Don't be embarassed to talk to your mom, she went thorugh thte exact same thing. Hope this helps!

Whenever you feel more comfortable with one than without one is when you should start wearing one. It's a personal decision. Just mention it to your mom. She'll know what to do. And whatever you do, DON'T be embarrassed. It's something every woman knows and understands! Your mother can also help you find the right size.

The time is right when you start getting uncomfortable with your chest, and would fell more comfortable with some support for your chest. I think you are getting to that age.
