Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai---it was the first bollywood movie I saw. I'm Iranian though, not Indian or Pakistani, but my sister's in-laws are Pakistani. I read the subtitles and it was a cute movie; I liked the story. The star of the movie is cute too ;-) It came out in 2000 I think, and Hrithik Roshan looked much better then than he does now, but he's still hot (despite the extra finger). Are you Indian or Pakistani? If you don't know who Hrithik is, I'd suggest googling him.

I am new to Bollywood movies. My granma was a big fan of them and I am sorry to say, as kids, we used to snicker when the actress would swing herself around the trunk of a tree while she sang a plaintive love song.
Not anymore. Mira Nair and Gurinder Chadha have converted me and put me on the path of enlightenment. Monsoon Wedding and Bride & Prejudice are not Bollywood movies, per se, but they are my favourite Indian movies.
I watched Bunty & Babibli - it was hilarious! I also liked Kandukondain Kandukondain, it was better than Emma Thompson's Sense and Sensibility in some respects.
I intend to add some more Bollywood to my theatre watching experiences!

- Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
- Devdas
- Darr
- Dhadkan

I feel that the songs and dances makes Bollywood unique.

Not sure if it's really a Bollywood movie, but I'd have to say Bride & Prejudice since it's the only one I've seen.
