~AJ was the 7th president because he got more votes than did John Quincey Adams in 1828. Old Hickory was famous for killing a whole bunch of Seminoles and Crees, for winning a major battle in a war that had already ended and for selling (and breeding) slaves, among them, the great grandfathers of James Meredith and Orenthal Simpson.
