Well I know a couple Caitlins and don't like any of them to be honest :P
It's an ok name but like people say, quite popular these days, and apparently the year I was born.
Regarding the spelling i'd spell it the standard way, she'll always have to correct people and it's a pain and kids make fun of anything they can soo yah. If you like the "K" do "Kaitlin" but i'd still just spell it the traditional way.

It is actually one of the most popular baby names now. Katie being a very popular nickname. I would go with a name that you could use with a nickname not so common. I went to school with five other people with my name and got to the point where I would ask which one when my name was called

I love the name but not fond of the spelling. It's real cute with Kiara too. Using the K names for mom and baby - cool!
