I am a sophmore in high school, and 4 friends and I want to go backpacking through Europe after high school, for about two weeks.
I'm figuring the prices at about $2000 for everything, per person. Now, my question is, how can i make that much money by the end of my senior year?
What job suggestions or money saving techniques can you share with me?
(yes, i know, don't buy a ps3 =P)

Here you go...
Find a bunch of things lying around you don't want and bundle them up as a mystery package and sell it on E-Bay, Some idiot will pay big $$$ for it and you will have your trip.
or ask your parents
stay cool

I saved 2 grand over a summer working at a fast food joint for 6.25 an hour. I was saving for a down payment on my first car though. Just figure out how much you can reasonably save between now and then to end up with the money you need and do it.

Were you planning to live here then?

Fisrt look at ways to spend less. Students can get huge discounts on european railways. Do a google search for that.

There are lots of airlines they fly cheapy...very cheaply if you book in advance. easyjet.com is worth looking at.

Plan your intinerary in advance. Then do a search for cheap places to stay.

Cities are expensive.

You know Im sure that the euro is used all over europe. If you travel a lot (and i do) then you will appreciate how much easier it makes life for travelers.

Welcome to Europe...Hope you have a super time.

i assume you are only looking at decent jobs:

ask yourself if you have any saleable skills. if you are good looking, find a modelling job. if you are smart, look to give tuition, or some programming job. if you are good at some sports, you might be a temp coach. if you are artistic, do freelance photography, or streetside drawings or anime/manga or sell homemade christmas cards.

in the worst case, there's always the minimum wage jobs. waiter in a good restaurant can receive good tips, if you are experienced, presentable and can speak a number of languages.
