I met my daughters father when I was sixteen and growing up in a foster home, thru no fault of my own. I ended up pregnant after dating for a year. We had a red blood cell test that stated that he is not my daughters father. THIS IS NOT TRUE.I never slept with anyone else. I have been trying to get this back into court for the last fifteen years. His name is on her birth certificate and he signed legal papers after I had her stating he is her father. One website I visited stated that there are a lot of errors in red blood cell testing for paternity. When our daughter calls him, he will usually talk to her, but briefly. Last night, he told her that they should not talk anymore, mainly because of his wife. I am not asking for child support. I just want them to have a relationship together. This has hurt my daughter very much. I have explained everything to her and she knows that I have done everything that I can in my power to get things back into court. Any Suggestion!!

I have heard the shortcomings of red blood cell test. It is not the same as DNA test. You have to have a strong reason for compelling him for court to order a DNA test to determine paternity. This is especially so if a red blood cell test has proven otherwise and he is reluctant that another test be conducted. I personally do not feel "wanting your daughter and the father" to have a relationship is good enough a ground for the court. Seek legal advice. What has happened in the past fifteen years?

Go file for child support. And they will make him take a DNA test. And if it comes out positive HE will have to pay for it in most states. Remember the child support is for the child, not to get back or be mean. But he signed the birth certificate so he needs to help support your daughter. No matter what his wife says. There is help at your DHS office, use it. That is what we pay taxes for.

You can't make him have a relationship with her, even if you can get him back into court to prove he is her father. The most you'd get from that is child support. The court system cannot order people to spend time together. They can give the opportunity (i.e. visitation rights), but they cannot force the relationship.

Go to his trash get something that would have DNA on it and get a test run. Go to the Legal Aid Society in your State and ask for help if you cannot afford a lawyer.
Have you been to Social Services? because they make the Father take a DNA test and they make him pay too.

The only way I can think of is to sue for child support. If you don't want to do that, then you're just out of luck.
