When I was young my mum would often tell me not to use "the good scissors". Does this mean somewhere in the house there lurked a pair of "evil Scissors". Do they really exist?

I found the "evil scissors" once, my brother was trying to stab someone with them. lol

My grandmother was full of such sayings. Everything she had was the "good" one and we weren't allowed to touch any of it.
