People say, "Oh its a sin, they're all going to hell and burn!" But if it is a sin. Can't they just repent and pray for forgiveness. Thats what everyone else does when they sin, can't they do it to? And then they'll still go to heaven? I'm not gay, and aren't friends with any gay people. But I don't hate or discriminate.

I don't think its really a sin persay, but since other people say it is, don't most people like repent or pray for forgiveness. But everyone is right. The bible says we're not perfect so I think that the will get into heaven. Love is love, I don't really care. Government has the freedom of religon but everything they do is based on Christianity. Pledge of Allegiance? Under god is in there.

Good point Enrique. Where are all the conservatives who just hate all homosexuals? Or don't approve?

Well they can, but certain people *cough* republicans *cough* don't like to see it that way because they don't want homosexuals to be accepted as 'normal' people and get married.
But in the bible it says no sin is greater than another, so you are correct, but when you repent, you're kinda saying you won't do it again, but if you're still homosexual, you'll have to repent everyday.
But, in the bible it says "it is harder to get into heaven, then it is to get a camel through the eye of a needle", so that's basically saying everyone is basically screwed, so just because an ancient text says homosexuals are sinful doesn't mean it's true. Now we must think with a modern mindset, when the bible was written, they were going through different events and morale, therefore it is not right to get all of our beliefs from there. Not to be labeled as an Antichrist, I do believe we should observe the bible solely on it's morals from the stories, because that's what it all is. stories. Not facts, just because a bible says it's true doesn't justify it so, but people refuse to think like that thanks to society and the church. Therefore, I don't believe there's any sins, heaven, hell, just wrongs against humanity, which homosexuality is not.
Love is not a wrong to humanity.

IMHO, those "Christians" who claim that being Homosexual is a sin, base it on the "Old Testament" Leviticus 18:22.
But it is the same Old Testament that claim many things are sins. Below is a quote from a TV show that pokes fun of someone who claims that the Bible says being Homosexual is a sin. I hope you enjoy the quote.
"...I wanted to ask you a couple of questions while I have you here. I'm interested in selling my youngest daughter into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She's a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, always cleared the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My Chief of Staff Leo McGarry insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or is it okay to call the police? Here's one that's really important because we've got a lot of sports fans in this town: touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean. Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother John for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads? Think about those questions, would you? ..."
Most Christians know that the Old Testiment is out of touch in today's world, so why do they cling to the comdemnation of Gays?

It's not a question of whether it's a sin or not. It has to do with your biological chemistry. Don't get me wrong for some it is a choice but for more it isn't. People fear what they don't understand and therefore persecute those that make them uncomfortable. It's ignorance. I can't answer your other questions because I am an atheist and you would be better off getting an answer from an open-minded christian-there are some out there, though few and far between.

Sin? Gods true teachings were of tolerance and love. I am a gay man and follow Gods teaching. I will not burn in hell. God loved me so much he made me in his image and I don't believe anyone can judge me except my maker till then I'll live his teachings. By the way the bible we know and read is just an interpretation some words had no translation from their original language. It was passed down by word of mouth and we all know how that goes.

Look at this... This guy Donovan posted this question 45 minutes ago, there´s been contradictions between perspectives, and no one has posted anything after the guy/girl that wrote the Bible passages that talk about gay marriage... How come all those haters and intolerants aren´t posting anything? Because they´ll be talking against something they venerate so much. What I mean is, that their morals is so wrong that they don´t even dare to analyze it...

Loving someone else is not a sin. If you are a kind and goodhearted person don't worry about anything, God loves everyone, a kind and loving person will not go to Hell, regardless of what some say. Peace. :)

If you were to read the bible, you'll see that there are actually several very loving same sex relationships in that text.
Ruth and Naomi
Ruth 1:16-17 and 2:10-11 describe their close friendship Perhaps the best known passage from this book is Ruth 1:16-17 which is often read out during opposite-sex and same-sex marriage and union ceremonies:
"Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me."
Ruth 1:14, referring to the relationship between Ruth and Naomi, mentions that "Ruth clave onto her." The Hebrew word translated here as "clave" is identical to that used in the description of a heterosexual marriage in Genesis 2:24: " Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
.............................................................................
David and Jonathan
1 Samuel 18:2
"From that day, Saul kept David with him and did not let him return to his father's house."
1 Samuel 18:3-4
"And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his tunic, and even his sword, his bow and his belt."
"After the boy had gone, David got up from the south side of the stone and bowed down before Jonathan three times, with is face to the ground. Then they kissed each other and wept together - but David wept the most."

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people should not have to repent. Homosexuality is NOT a crime, and it is not a sin so why should they repent? Repenting is for things like murder, THAT'S a sin. Sleep with your sister, that's a sin. Why should someone repent falling in love? If you're question is "why do homosexuals not repent?" then the answer is, because they don't have to.
