I am excited about my baby. I am happy (well, I was until the moods hit). I really want this baby and can't wait... but why am I having problems bonding. I am 13 weeks preg. Also had problems bonding with my daughter until she was born, even though I wanted her more then life itself?

Speaking only from the point of view of a mother to be, it is very hard to bond with a little person when you don't have them in your arms yet and have no idea what they look like or how they will be....at least in the emotional sense. Physically you are already bonded, and I'm sure you will know as the baby starts to kick and move what his/her sleep patterns are and what makes the baby "tick" in there :) I wouldn't worry. You love and want her and that's the most important thing.

That's normal...took me 2 weeks after the birth to bond. You are bonded but it's different than when they are in your arms and staring at you. As your pregnancy progresses, it becomes more real and you feel more attached

you are only 13 weeks pregnant. when you get in your 2nd or 3rd trimester and your stomach starts getting bigger and you feel the movements in your belly, you will feel different :-)
I didn't start bonding with my baby until I felt him moving in my tummy. I would go in the rocking chair and rub my belly and sing to the unborn baby.
