generally most republicans have core values, deal with real world problems head on,dont make excuses for there failures, distingiush between feeling good decisions and ones that have real application without feelings getting in the way,.They dont believe in concensus,or which way the wind blows to make a decision.they believe in the right for anyone to be able to make it on there own...Democrats are not any of these things

The key difference is republicans believe in lower taxes and republicans believe in creating huge deficits. The Democrats favor higher taxes and spending, while balancing the budget and reducing deficits with high taxes. Both parties believe in excessive spending and creating a massive government with extensive regulations. Both parties believe in converting over our government to Socialism as soon as possible, using France and Europe as our model. So in time the key difference is Republicans are creating a financial crisis for our country as China will at some point quit lending us money due to growing risk of our huge debt and this will cause enormous fear and an economic Depression as business is no longer willing to invest in a faltering economy. People will quit buying stock (business ownership) and growth investments and will favor safe investments. This loss of capital to invest in business will deepen the Depression and the government will be so broke it may not be able to rescue the nation, so the Depression may be worse than that in the 1930's. So the key difference is Republicans are creating potentially catastrophic risk with excess spending. And they are creating a massive government that is so corrupt and inefficient it cannot assist citizens in crisis like Katrina. It will do no better if a depression strikes. Whereas the Democrats at least will rapidly raise taxes to try to balance our budget so we no longer rely on new debt to finance our massive government. So in this scenario the Democrats approach is much safer for our country, whereas the Republican approach is reckless and unwise. Short term the Republican approach is great for the economy and would be long term if they could match their tax cuts with spending cuts. But their approach is corrupt in that they do not have the honesty to do that so they are placing our nation at enormous risk. Where the Democrats do not seem to approach government that way.

It really boils down to basic beliefs about government.
Democrats believe that government can solve problems, Republicans believe that government makes problems.
At least thats what old republicans believed, not today's.
Ever notice how since FDR Republican presidents have spent MORE than the Democrats and been more invasive of our personal freedoms?? Is that "small government?"

Democrats are individuals of the Democratic celebration and Republicans are individuals of the Republican celebration. previous that their isn't some thing particularly that marks one as both. commonly Republicans help decrease taxes and constrained authorities intervention. it really is often seen because the more desirable conservative celebration with reliable ties to the moral Majority and the non secular precise, and massive agency. The celebration oftentimes is anti abortion, anti same sex marriage, professional gun possession rights, and anti welfare. no longer to assert all individuals have a similar perspectives on those matters yet maximum persons vote in that route. additionally they have an inclination to be more desirable professional militia. although the celebration itself has voted adverse to starting to be a member of the UN, NATO, and similiar alliance agencies in the previous. Democrats on the different hand have a tendency to wish a higher quantity of authorities intervention, commonly interior of this kind of welfare and help courses. they have an inclination to be anti large agency and are more desirable susceptible to elevating taxes in the journey that they sense its needed. they are commonly more desirable liberal and have a tendency to paintings more desirable with Civil Rights and minority communities and tend to be professional same sex marriage, professional selection, and recommend stricter gun administration regulations. on the middle both are literally opposite aspects of the political panorama yet in truth their are only as many Democrats voting like Republicans as their are Republicans voting as Democrats. The moderates of both events are almost a similar oftentimes ideology. personally I evaluate myself a average Democrat. I accept as true with a lot yet no longer all of thier celebration philosphies.

The difference?
To put it the simplest - a point of view.
Republicans are typically for big business, and they are more conservative in their views.
Democrats are typically for the "working person", and they are more liberal in their views.
I use the word "typically" because there are always exceptions to the rules. And all of the terms - Democrat, Republican, Conservative and Liberal are very relative. Basically, I would do some research to find out where they stand, and which one falls the best with your points of view.

republicans represent the 'right side' of the political spectrum, which is supposed to be for individualism while democrats represent the 'left side' of the political spectrum, which is supposed to be for collectivism.
although, my personal opinion is that there really is no difference between them. they both impose their values upon us while limiting our freedom. they derive their powers by limiting ours.
Republicans (Neocons, right-wingers, GOP, Facists) want to take your:
1. Freedom of speech
2. Freedom of the press
3. Freedom to do what you want with your own body
1. Drugs
2. Sex
3. Life
4. Freedom of religion (or non-religion in the case of agnostics/atheists/etc)
Democrats (Libs, Leftists, Socialists, Reds, Commies) want to take your:
1. Freedom of business
2. Freedom of the press
3. Freedom to protect yourself and your family
4. Freedom of religion (unless you are an atheist-commie, fruit-loop spiritualist or Palestinian terrorist)
