I want to be in a band. I can sing. I just dont know who else would like to start a band. A rock band. Influence are evanescence. btw a female vox would be awsome. anyone interested?

you can check craigslist.com for your area. you can also check myspace, though i have had less luck with that as far as any classifieds are concerned. also, you can start hanging out at the places where the local bands play, talk to the band members, meet and greet, network... most things in the music business happen by word of mouth. unfortunately, it is a business and as such, it is corrupted by the ever looming "it is not what you know, but WHO you know. you can do recruiting by meeting. i was picked up by an awesome band that way... they saw me performing with another band. the best thing to do is to emmerse yourself in the local scene.

cool. my friends think i have a good voice when i sing..i don't think i do..; i just wanna play an instrument.haha. well try going to myspace or purevolume or something... good luck =)
