You all are out of your minds! Of course he is the best center, he is an mvp candidate right now. He is not only tall, but he knows how to use that to a great advantage. He is really coming into his own this year, just look how Tracy McGrady has taken a step down as the #1 offensive option, and is helping Yao a great deal. If he is scoring better than Tracy McGrady, he is better than Shaq, and any other center in the NBA, right now.

i do also think that yao is the best center in the league right now. no one can stop him. he is the number one option in offense in his team, and even tmac agrees on that. hey, if tmac says so, i believe he is right. alright, maybe he's not as dominant as how shaq used to be, but i never said yao is the best center of all time. he is the best at the moment. yao will be the number one center in nba for a long time. but soon, some other players might join him as part of the elite-center, such as dwight howard. i dont regard amare is a true center, since his game doesnt have any back to the basket repertoire.

Look all of you accept , Stanley, Is your last name Gillenwater?, Birdman and John D. None of you have watched this guy develop. He is by far the best all around center in the NBA. Shaq, please, he's done. Yao is and will be for a long time be the most dominant center in the NBA. Go Rockets. Yo that_ boi you get it too. I just left H town 3 mo. ago I'm already missing everything except the Texans. Especially my girls.

Yao ming is good i cant see why some people hate him and say hes only in the nba because hes tall. Yeah im watching the game too and now its halftime and he already has 21 points and a nice block too. I agree that he is one of the best centers in the nba .

the reason no one gives yao credit is because he is not a very naturally talented bball player. sure he's naturally tall but do u really think he's the best skilled center in the nba? if dwight howard was 7'6 he might be getting 50 points and 30 rebounds a game. dwight howard, jermaine oneal, amare stoudamire, chris bosh... the list goes on and on. i'd even take shaq over yao because they are good BASKETBALL PLAYERS they aren't just catching the ball and dropping it into the hoop. yao might be the most overrated player in history.

Right now, I really think he is. Shaq is no longer the player he used to be.
Watch out for Eddy Curry. He's slowly developing. He's not in Yao's class, but he is getting into the upper echelon.

I dont think he is the best in the NBA my vote would be for Dwight Howard because he is holding his team down. He has had 3 games with 20+points and 20 plus Boards , to go with his shot blocking and leadership on the team.

I don't. The best center is the Irishman, Shaqueal O'neal! Shaq uses his size effectively.
