I worked ther for 4 months and quit and told me im eligable for rehire and its been about a month and a half ago and is it true i can bring up a lawsuit if they dont rehire me?

The key word is "eligible". That doesn't REQUIRE them to rehire you.

Being eligible for rehire is not a legal requirement that they do so. If they refused to hire you for an illegal reason (such as your race), then you might have a claim. Alleging something versus proving it are two different things. Personally, I wouldn't rehire someone who quit after 4 months.

If you quit the job for something like sexual harrassment or something like that you could sue them, but then why would you want to go back? Normally unless you did something like a lot of absence, tardies, drug or alcohol, most employers will give you your job back providing you parted on good terms.

why would you waste all that money on a lawsuit for an 8 dollars a hour job? why would you want to work for someone who you just sued?

why on earth would you want to do that? just go get a job somewhere else if they don't want to re-hire you. it's up to the hiring manager to decide. Eligible for re-hire is NOT a guarantee that you will be re-hired.
