Well Honey, you know you are not a lesbian and you shouldn't care what other people think. They are just plain ignorant because they don't understand your "straight" love for your buddies. Don't worry, be happy, and hug one of your friends for me!

I know how that is. When I was in highschool, someone started rumors that my best friend and I were lesbians. In college, somehow it followed us, but it is more because some people like to think that if two girls are good friends, they are lovers. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about it. Getting mad at people who say you are only makes it worse, but so does ignoring it completely. You're in a double bind if you ask me. What worked best for us was being nonchallant about it and trying not to give them any reason to think it anymore. Maybe cut down on hand holding, although hugs are perfectly acceptable, lol.

I understand your problem, my friend and I are presidents of the Gay Straight Alliance at my high school and while she is bisexual, I am not. I'm straight but since I hang out with a lot of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered friends of mine people automatically assume that I myself am gay. I don't care, I simply make sure that everyone knows I have a girlfriend, and if I'm single I make sure that girls know I'm available. Casually bring up how hot some guy is, make sure people know you're straight, word gets around.

It is well known that girls have stronger relationships with their friends than guys do. They feel that they love them without having sexual feelings toward them. Hugging is normal, not sure about the hand holding.

Its a friend thing, If they call you a lesbian ingore it, then call them racist for being against gays and lesbians, I have alot of BI friends, it does'nt mean I'm BI. And when ever some one calls me Bi-Sexual for hanging with some of my best buds, I either slap them, Ignore them, or say ''omg you know my secret'' just to make them stop. I'm not gonna stop hanging out with my Bi-Sexual friends just cause other people use it to taunt me, its being racist and you should'nt really care about what they say, as long as you have your friends.

Who cares what other people think? The people who say things like that are the jealous ones who don't have any close friends.

People are always going to be mean. Just correct them everytime they mention it. Don't get mad becuase that will just make it more fun for them. You know the truth and that is all that really matters. Give it some time it will blow over.
