It's human nature.
A great looking gal or guy walks fown the street and i simmediately noticed by the opposite sex. A fat, old , or ulgy person walks down the street and no one notices them.
It's basically either you are in sinqch with them or you are attracted to them. Judges are widely known for giving lighter sentences to better looking people.
Although he was as ulgy as home made sin jurors who did not even like him found him innocent knowing he was guilty because he was a movie star, they sought media attention, and it was their biggest moment in their lives.
had simpson not been a movie star and foot baller it's likely he owuld be on death row and the jurors would be giving interviews as to how they [put an animal away. The system is not fair at all.
Attractive people get better jobs, better treatment, and more money. It's all in our perception of how see what we want to see or find pleasing to see rather than what is is right or wrong.

Because the ugly people in prison will jump the pretty ones and do mean crap to them and so i guess the judge feels a tiny bit sorrier for the pretty ones. It's messed up but thats what happens all the time

I am not sure but I have seen the experiments on television and you are right it is true..maybe people are less inclined to believe that an attractive person could do something bad...but then it did not work for Scott Peterson!

Just like everything in life people go easier on them and give them the benefit of the doubt.
Plus they can work it off faster :p

People have a bias toward ugly people. It is just another one of those travesties we have to deal with.
