Lets face facts. Lampard was selffish last season. Crespo made them, Lampard scored them. Normally it's the midfielders who make goals and the strikers who score them. Not a chelsea though.
Since then, Ballack has turned up and maybe has not been great so far but Lampard knows Ballack is an all round midfielder like Steven Gerrard. Just like with Gerrard, Lampard does not play well with Ballack either.
Lampard wants to be the best in the world so he try to play like Ballack, he try tackling, he trys leading the team and God help him he trys passing too but Lampards main problem seems to be that instead of making choices that help his team mates win matches, he makes choices that make him look like a big shot and these season it's just not working for him.
Making him look useless and big headed.
I think its safe to say 04/05 & 05/06 are proberly going to be remembered as his best season ever.

not just this season! true his goal scoring record is good but Gerrard would score twice as many goals if he played in the same position for Chelsea. At least Gerrard can hit the target with more than 1 shot out of every 4! no surprise that the player with the most shots at the World Cup also scored no goals. lampard adds nothing to he team. Most of his long passes go over the players head or gets intercepted and he doesnt run, tackle or head the ball.

If it means anything take a look at the fantasy football points gained by all the premier league players. I think you'll find Lampard way ahead of everyone. He was even one of the highest points scorers in the World cup. So he must be doing something right. But unfortunately not scoring goals. He hit the woodwork twice against Arsenal. a major factor in all football success is luck. Maybe he used all his slice last season.

I have no time for Frank Lampard, I hate him for the way he let England down, in the World Cup, how does a player with his so called reputation, Miss 18 Goals, it almost made me feel as if he had missed them purposely. I hope he never gets another chance to play for England ever again

Hell no! I believe most of y'all are Chelsea haters... Lampy is good. Y'all are talking about him taking England out of the World Cup... What did Henry play at the Champions League Finals? TRASH! Lampard is human and he adds "depth" to the chelsea squad and he's also scored one of the best Champions League goals this season... qed

If you're expecting he has the same performance like he had last season in every matches every season, that's too realistic to be happened. He's a good player, a human too. People will always remember his best performance and demanding him to be like that all the time. If he did, surely he's not a human but a programmed robot.

Lampard is just overrated. The most disappointing i would say is Shevchenko, everyone expected him to take the league by storm be the top scorer at least challenge for top scorer and hes been nothing in comparison to his prior to Chelsea form.

what happen was, he got found out, and now people are sitting on him, forcing him to play the pressure balls and no time to look up etc, and he just has no second gear to change that and can't get away. i think the three lions need to drop him and let stevie G have the middle of the park and offer up carrick as his protection or maybe king and have lennon and cole/downing run at defense, with stevie dictating terms, how awesome will that look, with rooney running at defenders with stevie G and some big stiff up front to hold up play...yes lampard is crap.

for my section, Frank Lampard has achieved just about each little thing for Chelsea in all the seasons he has performed with them. whilst Essien replaced into out, it replaced into in simple terms him controlling the midfield. He merits to win an award each 12 months.
