Suicide isn't illegal. Because once its done, its done. You're dead.

Its the attempt at suicide that is.

It's illegal so the law can deal with you should you fail.Because you can't prosecute the successful offenders! (It's the the only capital crime you can get away with Scott free!)

it's considered murder of oneself. those who try it are mentally unstable and could be a danger to themselves with out being aware of it. It's illegal to protect you
