Well, the Middle Ages was several hundred years long (depends on who you ask), and there were many countries in Europe at that time, and many different kings, so it's hard to be general enough to cover them all...but! I think it would be safe to say that the ceremony would last for several days, with every kind of entertainment you can think of. I'm sure there would have been innumerable religious services, as well.

well, the king-to-be is obviously very nervous. the archbishop of canterbury is the only one allowed to crown someone king. then, he knights the new king and afterwards, they have a big celebration.
