It means that there is space between your valve lifters and your push rod/tappet parts. Is it dangerous, no, its caused by hydraulic lifters being a little worn or dirty and they are not holding enough pressure on the push rod/tappets and so that space gives a click every time the valve needs to be moved, do you notice it goes away when you rev the engine driving, that's because there is more oil pressure in the lifter to hold tight against the push rod. Its relatively minor unless it gets so bad the valve stops lifting (rarely) and the car starts and runs poorly, and to fix it is fairly involved, in most cars you have to remove the intake manifold and replace or clean the lifters. Hope this helps

you don't need to be using the 93 octane unless the owners manuals says this is what your car requires.
You didn't mention the year of the car....it means you have a worn engine a thicker oil will help and also use the oil that's for higher mileage cars and have the oil changed every 3000 miles. And stick with the oil that for the higher mileage.

Could be a rocker arm ("tap It") going bad. Pull your valve cover and run the engine. Look at the rockers and see that each one is flinging oil. If one is not, chances are, it's going bad.

be careful with the vice grips. i attempted that once, the grips slipped off, and that i finished up with a black eye. no longer exciting. What you like is a few thing which will grip the nut. i'm questioning alongside the lines of those rubber issues that help you open jars. placed a sort of below a wrench or vice grip and you're able to get adequate leverage. there is likewise a sort of pipe wrench that's surely a strap with a preserve. you could loop it around something and the preserve is designed to furnish you the leverage. they at the instant are not costly - below $10 i could think of. solid success!

first of all its a ford..anyhow..valves tapping?..you sure it not rods knocking?..your valves open and close letting exhast emissions out..and fuel in...if you have a rod knocking it could be bent..if so depending on how hard its knocking and if its still opening the valves..you may have to pull the head of and replace the pushrods
