I'm 6 months pregnant and I'm not sure what kind of bottles I want to use. Do any companies offer free samples? I know Avent used to but I dont think they do anymore.

I plan to breastfeed but I will need to pump when I go back to work so I will need bottles.

I tried to breastfeed both my daughters so I used playtex nursers because they are shaped more like the breast. They are easy to clean and with the disposable liners it's easy to push all the air out to limit air intake and keep your baby less gassy. I really preferred these bottles. I am registered on several baby sites and I have never recieved free samples of baby bottles. Babies will eat from any bottle. You'll realize that when you get the free nipples that they give you at the hospital to use on the disposable bottles of formula. Remember you pay for quality. Since using the playtex nursers I am happy to report that my daughters never recieved ear infections.

You know I hated washing bottles, what a pain. I used the ones that were a bit tilted, my friends used the ones with the bags. I wish they had disposable bottles. No more washing! It's all a matter of trial and error. I used power formula more convenient for traveling, and used room temperature water. So if we were out he wouldn't be fussy about drinking it, or having to find a microwave or something anything to warm it up.

Air travel at 6 months should be fine as long as you are having a "normal" pregnancy. You should research where the closest modern medical facility is to where you'll be staying and make note of the phone number in case you require medical care. Of course, you'll want to check with your obstetrician before you travel and also be sure to pack his/her phone number in case you need to contact him/her while on vacation. The heat could be an issue for you so be sure to drink lots of water to stay hydrated and take comfortable and roomy shoes as your feet may swell in the heat.

Not that i know of but just get a bunch of different types. on your register and people can then pick what they like, or tell everyone at the shower to bring a different type of bottle for a gift.
