Apply a medium shade to your entire lid and along the bottom under your lashes, then apply a darker shade to the crease you get when your eye is open, then finally a lighter creamy shade under the arch of your brow. If you apply foundation to your eyelid before applying the shadow, it will hide any veins and will also make the shadow stick better and will last longer. :)

This is what I do:
Example colors- gold, dark brown creme
After applying foundation, I use the medium shade (gold) on the whole lid using a brush. I then use a slanted angle brush to apply the dark shade (brown) in the crease line and in the outer part of the eyelid. The color should go up until the brow bone, which you can fee. Then, I use a blending brush a blend where the two colors meet on the eyelid. After, I use the lightest shade(creme) and high light my brow bone using a blending brush. Start from the top of the brow bone and blend to where it meets the dark shade (brown). Finish with eyeliner and mascara.
Just keep practicing. You'll get eventually.
Hope that helps.

There are many different ways to create different effects for the eye, but the most common is to put the lightest shade over the whole eye-from the eyebrow to the lash line ( I sometimes will use a white shadow or liner in the corner of my eye to make it look bigger and more awake) the next step is to put the medium color over the lid and just below the brow bone. The darkest color should only cover the lid of the eye up to the crease. I recommend starting at the outer edge of the eye and working in that way you’ll get a better effect. don't worry it's really simple and soon you'll be a pro! :)

To correctly apply the 3 shade method I have a simple & no-fail tip:
1. 2nd darkest color goes over your entire eyelid, the area underneath your eye crease.
2. The lightest color will go right on top of that area, all the way to the eyebrow.
3. Apply the darkest color in the crease of the eye only. It's easy to do this with either a swab or a skinny pointed eyeshadow sponge or brush tip.
Good Luck and don't forget not to cover your natural beauty, make-up should be used to enhance what you already have.

I start with the lightest shade and put it just under my eyebrow. Then I take the middle shade and put it underneath the lightest shade and halfway on my eyelid. Then I take the darkest shade and put it over my whole lid. Then I do a lot of blending until I get the desired effect. Sometimes I'll use the middle shade over my whole eyelid and use the darkest shade as eyeliner and just line my eyelash line. It really depends on what look you're going for. The best thing to do is to just play around with the makeup and see what works best for you.

I would use the lightest shade as a eyeshadow base. Put it all over your eyelid so that the other colors can blend easier. Then put the medium shade on your lower eyelid, up to the crease and blend slightly outward. Finally, use the darkest color in the crease and blend it with the medium color so that it doesn't seem like there is a harsh line.

Apply the lightest shade to your entire eye...all the way up to your eyebrow. Then, put the darkest shade just in the creases of your eyes and a little along the lash line. On your eye lid put the medium shade.

The lightest shade goes under you eyebrow, at the arch. The darkest shade is used in the crease, from the corner of the inside of the eyelid to the outside, sweeping it with a brush, not with one of those applicators that came with the eye color!
The medium color goes on the eyelid itself, closest to the eyelashes.
To make your eyes appear wider, put a small amount of light color on the eyelid in the center, just above the eyelashes. This brightens the eyes and makes them look bigger.
When you apply the dark color in the crease of your eye, go easy at first. For a more dramatic effect, add more color.
Have fun!!

First put a medium tone shade on your lid, then put a lighter highliting type tone on above your lid just below the brow. Then apply just a streak of darker tone from inner to outer part of the eye at the crease of the eye lid. Take a blush brush and smooth them all together but not too much.
