THE X AND Y INTERCEPTS!

the x intercept occurs when y = 0 and the y intercept occurs when x = 0 ,ofcourse when the graph line touches the x axis the value for y axis is 0 and similarly when the graph line touches the y axis the value for x = 0 . therefore for x intercept :

-6x+3(0)=-9
-6x=-9
x=-9/-6
x=9/6 or if u further simplify x=3/2 (reduced form )

now for y intercept:
-6(0)+3y=-9
3y=-9
y=-9/3
y=-3

so x intercept is (2/3) and y intercept is (-3)

The x-intercept is defined to be where y = 0, and the y-intercept is defined to be where x = 0. To find each intercept, you just set x or y to the appropriate value and solve for the other variable.

X-intercept: let y = 0. Then

-6x + 3y = -9 becomes
-6x + 3(0) = -9, so
-6x = -9, and
x = 9/6 = 3/2

Y-intercept: let x = 0. Then
-6x + 3y = -9 becomes
-6(0) + 3y = -9
3y = -9
y = -3

So the x intercept is 3/2 and the y-intercept is -3

plug in zeros (plug in a zero for X to find the Y intercept and vice versa)

X - intercept:
-6X + 3(0) = -9, Therefore, -6X = -9 so, X = 9/6 = 3/2 so the X-intercept is (3/2, 0)

Y-intercept:
-6(0) + 3Y = -9
3Y = -9
and therfore, Y = -3 and the X intercept is (0, -3)

3y= -9 +6x
then
y= -3 +2X

y intercept = -3
dunno how to find x sorry :(

to find intercepts you plug in zero.
y intercept= -3
x intercept= 3/2

to solve - set equal to x then set equal to y
y-intercept = -3
x-intercept = 3/2

I think you set one of the variables to zero, solve it, and then do it for the other.
