I was late on my first verizon bill because of an emergency that came up. The bill was due October 27th and the check for the bill amount cleared my bank account on November 8. They shut the phones (4 total) off on the same day that the check cleared my account. So now they have charged me $15 per line to reconnect the phones. Is there any way to get them to waive that fee? I've called twice, spoke with a supervisor once and they refuse to waive the fee. Is there any way to persuade them to drop the fee??? Thats $60 for the 4 phones.....a hefty amount for a bill that wasn't even 30 days past due! Any suggestions?

Are you serious? 12 days late on a payment and they shut off your phones? That SUCKS. I think you should dump Verizon if that's how they are. I've never had them.

I have T-mobile. Once I was a whole month and a half late and they still never shut it off. They even gave me a reminder call to warn me that I needed to pay within a week or it would be shut off. All they gave me was a late fee of $5.

I guess they are "#1 rated in customer satisfaction" for a reason... =P

I doubt that they would do it. When I first started with Verizon after less than 2 weeks having my phone, I tried to trade it because it already was acting up but they told me there was nothing they could do since I was past the time period when you can exchange it. If I wanted a different phone I would have to purchase another phone at full retail price..... I would still try though it seems ridiculous that they cashed the check and cut your service within the same day and are still trying to charge you a reconnect fee. Argue with them that they had the money on hand before they even cut your phone off. Keep trying and trying and maybe eventually you will get the right person, who will solve the problem. Good luck!

u can but it would take some strong convincing.
they are a really hard company to get credit from.
the best bet is to call them and explain the situation, maybe over do waht happened. i dont know what happened and i hope everything is ok. the one thing to keep in mind is that the people on the other line are people too. all u have to do is make them understand the situation and they should help u,

if u can throw in a few tears!!!
that always got me giving out credits!!

if your phone indicated roaming in mexico, they will not waive the fee. see if you can barter with them if you change your plan to a "premium or connect plan"
