camel spider because camel spiders are nocturnal predators of other arthropods including scorpions and are voracious feeders. Some species kill and feed on lizards and it is speculated that others kill mice and birds. They rely solely on their speed and stealth to catch their prey.

Well a true camel spider is no match for any scorpion, if you are talking about a sun spider, then thats a whole different ball game. Lets look at the pros and cons for each.....

Sun spider: http://bugguide.net/node/view/60624
pros:
Vary fast moving
powerful mandibles (two pairs of scissors)
good vision

cons:
soft body
no alternative weapons

Scorpion (lets say Handrurus arizonensis)http://bugguide.net/node/view/67512
pros:
Solid exoskeleton
large pedipalps (pincers)
stinging telson packed with venom

cons:
slow moving
poor vision

I think if the animals were of equal size, i would give it to the scorpion almost hands down. If the sun spider was slightly larger however, it would have a definate advantage.

hope this answers your question!
