As far as I know you can't get red Kool Aid out. I tried & tried in our carpet with no luck at all.

Here is how I fixed it -

I removed the stain with bleach which made a white spot on the carpet but the red was gone. Then I got a package of Rit dye the color of the carpet. I mixed the Rit and rubbed it into the spot with a rag. You can't find the spot anymore and it has held colorfast for several years now.

I know it sounds scary but it works & there is nothing to lose.

Hi
I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (almost to the boiling point) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it or Dawn dishwashing liquid (2 or 3 drops into one cup of water) and repeat step 1. The stain may come back in a few days so you may have to do this a few times. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet. At this point if the stain is still there please call a carpet cleaner.

I would try an oxy clean brand see if the carry it in a carpet cleaner i use the spray on my daughters laundry i swear by it. but i would do a little area first just to make sure it's not gonna make it worse.

Oxy-Clean will help you out! Get a tub of Oxy-Clean, and mix up in a spray bottle or other device that you have. Then soak the stain, let sit, then blot up. It works! It is safe for all fabrics, thus far. I used it to clean some fragile curtains of my grandmother's and it turned them to the original white without destroying them!
