Rule 1: ignore any business idea that comes looking for you.
Rule 2: ignore any business idea that you get from this place. Seriously.
Rule 3: it has to be your own idea, or you have to have found it by serious hunting and research.
Rule 4: get support - your Chamber of Commerce or Local Enterprise Company is there to help.

You don't say if you have any capital. So assuming you have little/none and don't want to take much of a risk or borrow any money, I'd suggest you check out
http://www.real-work-at-home.co.uk
Find a real part-time job working from home there (there are no charges at all to access real jobs working from home)
That will give you an income while you get a business up and running.
There are some business ideas on that site too - not too many yet as the site is new/not officially launched yet.
There are some free to start businesses listed as well as some ideas that involve a small start up.
You should try to do 2-3 things to test what you like/what works well for you, then after 6 months or so, drop anything that has been unsuccessful and put that time into the most successful thing.
Good luck

Hi, This year i set up my own business and I found that there are a few main things to consider:
- What will your business offer; clerical, consultancy, crafts, labour,....?
- Is there a gap in the market that you can fill that no one else has covered
- Most importantly you need to find out if any business name you think has not already been taken, you can check this out through duportassociates.com they have a list of every company in the UK that is registered with companies house?
- You need to get a VAT number which again can be done through Duport, and they will also set up everything from buying an available company name to explaining different types of business to offering packasge to set up a business.
- A good accountant comes in very handy.
- Keep every receipt, coz the taxman will give tax back even on a 5p eraser.
- Finally you need to sit down and sort through all the pros and cons of running a business, and whether it will bring in the same money that you may have now.
I hope this helps. And I wish you every success in your ventures.

Hi. Please forget about wellness companies that offer you a chance in a lifetime opportunity because you will have to invest so much money and you will be lucky to get any return from it. Take a look at the following website and you can see how easy it really is to earn money working from home. http://www.myvemma.com/woody1970
I have tried over 30 companies based at home and they will spam and scam you believe me. I have lost thousands from these companies including forever living and well being companies so I know what I am talking about. You can contact me on the details that are listed on the above link if you would like to know anymore.
Cheers and best of luck

well specifically what field of buisness?
u could do babysitting, cleaning, crafting, marketing, selling, ect. The only thing u can really do at home is selling a product like avon or make crafts and sell them on either ebay or start a craft shop. My neighbor has a barber in his home. There's lots to choose from. Just depends on what u like.

Notice something similar to all the answers to your question?? Most of the companies people are telling you about sound THE SAME. Not my company, give me a chance to prove what we are about and I guarantee you will beneift from it. No commitments, no obligation, no huge upfront fees like some of the other "at home" companies. I would love to help you.
Please email me for more info.

Dear Aisie,
I don't want to be accused of spamming so, if you'd like to know a bit about the home business I've been in for three years, just email me. Word of warning...you get nowt for nowt, so steer clear of these online surveys that claim to earn you loads of money.
Regards,
John.

you really need to soul search and fidn something that gets you excited. Most people get excited when they think about money, but you have to have a passion for what you do to make it all seem worth while. If your thinking online this site is a good reference, good luck: http://www.topbusinessopportunitiesreviewed.com/index.html

~There is a real need for on-line crack sales. Kiddie porn has always been a money maker. Why do you think I would clue you in on a business venture that I might myself choose to undertake, thereby putting you in direct competition with me? Have you considered flipping burgers for the clown? With your initiative and imagination, I'll bet you could make a go of that.
