John McCain can do it

If the US has a desire to survive the evils it faces today, it will need a strong leader and not just a diplomat who thinks everything can be resolved by doing nice.

I believe the American people need to see the tactics being used by the liberals in order to crowd the conservative issues. They are all taking a moderate position on most issues, or should I say, they are crowding the middle. This makes them look more assertive and decisive when it comes to matters of security.

We saw Clinton use this very tactic when he ran against Bob Dole. It muted most of what Dole was proposing, and made him look less presidential. It's too bad the liberals fell for it, maybe things would have turned out differently if we had had Dole in the White House from 1996 through 2000. Perhaps a more decisive president would have neutralized the efforts of bin Laden instead of avoiding every opportunity to eliminate him.

Yes, I can see another republican in the White House, provided he has the stones to keep this country safe. This is my #1 priority, and if you agree, you too will consider a republican.

On the basis of what? The President's approval or job performance rating? Think about it: the next Republican candidate will not only be running against the Democrat, he or she will also be running against Bush/Cheney. It's hard to run from/against your own party's previous president and be successful. Ask Gerald Ford, Walter Mondale, and Al Gore how well that went.

with who?

I think the Republicans HAVE TO HAVE the south to win...

I don't see the leaders playing well in the south right now... Romney is a mormon and Rudy and McCain are not from the south and quite liberal...

it could happen if they go with someone more conservative maybe...
