You shouldn't sterotype people, I have many Somalian friends that are very anal about being clean and African Americans.

Yes they are, because they came here on their own, the American born black was supposed to be a slave, Lincoln freed them and it pissed everybody off, so the little penny is brown and the other coins face the other way,... many many inventions by blacks have not been told.

I would think so because I guess people feel that the Africans are more hard-working than American blacks...I have no idea. My good friend is Nigerian and I don't treat no different than other blacks.

I think they are because they're stereotyped. My sister in law is from Uganda. She has a distinct accent and when people hear her talk, they assume she's from a different country and therefore they don't put the "african american" label on her. She's said herself that "african americans" are a lot different than blacks from Uganda.

We were talking about this in my sociology type the different day, and the professor suggested that typically minorities positioned down different minorities because it makes them experience more advantageous effective and in the route of the dominant white team. i'm not affirming all minorities hate blacks by way of the undeniable fact that couldn't actual. a lot of minorities marry and function black pals. i'm Hispanic with techniques from the way and went to a black/Hispanic majority college. there have been a lot of black/Hispanic fights, yet there have been also a lot of friendships.

I think that American Blacks are more accepted. I think that people really dont know or understand the non-American Black cultures, so they are more intrigued by it. Also, since Nigerians do not look like the typical stereotype of an African, that makes a big difference, like, "Oh...wow...where are you from?"

Yes, foreign blacks are accepted more readily. One reason maybe that they are more confident and determine to succeed. They left their country for a purpose and they go about fulfilling it no matter what.

Bias is a strange monster - even those who practice it do not quite know why they do.
