Hi, I just bought a new computer and am in the proccess if buying a new graphics card. How do I find out what type of pci or agp slot I have. In regard to pci x2,x4,x8, ect. and agp.

Owner's manual would be a good place to look. If you have a model number you can email it to me and I can look it up for you.

Ask where you got it. Also reference to the owners manual is a good idea.

If your computer is new than there is an almost 100% chance that it has a PCI-express slot. AGP is long gone.

if your brave enough ... open it up .. agp is the top slot on the board same with pci exp ... agp is brown always .. the other is normally white ... i agree look through the owners man

Uh, where did you get the PC from? they'll tell you
If its a mom and pop or a boutique, you probably got the motherboard manuals (or electronic ones on the CD)
If a big name brand, slap yourself first, then hit their site to find out the specs.
