My friend is thinking about calling her baby Muikie if it's a girl and Dong if it's a boy. Yuck.

Wow----ethnic!

I would never saddle a girl-child with a boy's name spelled differently.
Like Nikki, Randi, Or Teri-----they all end up strippers...
Don't name boys Girly names--Kim, Kerry, and Terry are bad.

Above all, do NOT name your child something that will get him/her beat up a lot. That seems to be MOST stupid thoughtless names nowadays!!
I'd beat up my PARENTS if they named me that stupidly.......

THINK, people--little Kameeshah Jawhobag is NOT gonna thank you for that name....

Ok that's worst than naming your kids after drinks, and cars. Tell her she might as well name her daughter Dukie and the boy first name Ding and last name Dong. Come on let the kids have some kind of diginity before they step into the world. Is she on drugs and where did she get these horrible names from. Slap her a couple hundred times and tell her those names are sooo horrible!!!

Tell your friend to think about how that child will be teased or bullied mercilessly when she/he grows up. Her choice of names are fine as pet-names - ie, within the family or among close friends - but not in the school yard.
Personally, I feel sorry for women who have manly names, like that model who was called James King, or for some men like John Wayne whose real name was Marion!!!!!

Cody and Courtney are awful. So white trash.

My sister went to elementary school with a girl named Candy Caines. Yes, it's true! I also knew triplets named Ruby, Pearl, and Emerald.

i have a neighbors whose names are Dong, Bing and Qwan. they are all Japanese and incredibly nice people. if your friend of a nationality that would consider these names traditional and respectful?

personally, i don't like the names Chase for a boy (c'mon people, chase is a verb) and Mildred for a girl (makes me think of mildew)

Those ar ugly. Muikie will be called Puke-y ( I went to school with a Eukie!) and Dong will be made fun of since that sounds sexual. Gross names.

bad ideas for names:

- names that sound like the other sex (calling a boy Ashley)

- unpronoucable names

- names that sound like or are spelled like embarassing things (like Dong!)

My last name is moe, so I've got a string of bad names to call my kids

Girl: Ellie, but call her El. That way, she's El Moe.

Boy: Joe, Bo, Easily turned into Joe Sh-Moe!

I think it's really ugly when boys and girls share names...
You know...James, Kimi, Charly, Cameron...
Or when children have last names as names... Mackenzie etc...
