if i took orange juice and milk and soaked my fingernails in them for a certain period of time and by a week will they start to affect anything on the nail itself? (for science fair project) or any ideas of what to soak them in.

Ive heard that if you soak them in lemon juice it will make the nail appear whiter. not so sure about the effectes of OJ & milk. good luck.

Use olive oil and lemon juice about 1/4 cup lemon juice to 3/4 of a cup of olive oil. Soak your nails in it every night, I'm not sure what your trying to do, but if you want to soften your cuticles and make your nails healthier, the olive oil will help to stop them from breaking. And the lemon will eat up dead skin around the cuticles.

well the only thing that I've heard of working is to put lemon juice on your nails and sitting in the sun, it's supposed to act as bleaching them so their not yellow, i read you can do it in your hair to give highlights and same with blueberries and strawberries (for hair)

probably not because the orange juice isn't that acidic and plus the milk will take away more acidity.
