LaDainian Tomlinson is having one of the greatest individual seasons ever in the NFL. He is going up against his former teammate Drew Brees for the MVP. Records and all, added the fact he's been one of the most consistent players in the NFL for the last few years, should he get the coveted MVP?

Any idiot who thinks Brees or Manning is better than L.T. Can't be considered a football fan. L.T. Better win the M.V.P.

Yes he should. Don't get me wrong, Brees is having a career year, and he is a big part of the Saints being a contender. But L.T. is on pace to set a TD record that may not be broken again in our lifetime, and something that hasn't been mentioned much yet is the fact that with his next TD he will break Paul Hornung's single season scoring record of 176 that was set almost 50 years ago, to me that's even more impressive. L.T. deserves it this year, Brees deserves to finish second.

Without a doubt. He has proven that he is not only the best runningback in the NFL but the best player period. The fact that he has managed to break the touchdown record (if you count passing he has 31 TDs!) with 3 games left and that he is 2 points shy of the record for most points in a season makes him the most obvious choice in years.

Yes Brees is playing well and may even break the passing yardage record and yes the saints would be lost without him but where would the chargers be without L.T?

I think that the MVP has to go to either LT or Bree's and the winner will be determined by whose team goes farther I think. LT may have the rushing record but that's all his team does because of the coach. Bree's on the other hand had major shoulder surgery and leads the league in TD passes, yards, and is doing it with 3 rookies all of which could be rookie of the year, and he has taken a saints team that went 3-13 to the second best record in the NFC and playoff team for sure. SO i think in the end it will be BREE'S.

I'd say its close between Drew Brees and L.T. If Drew Brees breaks Marino's yards in a season record and takes the Saints to the Super Bowl, then he's the man. But otherwise, you can't deny L.T.

Drew Brees has turned the Saints around and he was traded off by the Chargers, but if it is between Drew "Palmy" Brees and L.T, they both deserve it and I think L.T has established himself as one of the best in the game.

I think when your talking about the most valuable player, I think Drew Brees comes to mind. L.T. is awsome, but I think Drew is more valuble to the Saints than L.T. is to the Chargers.

By far, I think Tomlinson deserves the MVP award this year. Back to back killer years, this man is unstopable. LT is the offense for the San Diego Chargers.

So yeah, I think LT deserves the MVP award, hands down.

My pick is LT but Brees is a close second. If Brees can get the Saints to the playoffs, Brees has a good chance. But my pick is still LT.
