Compassion means to feel sad of a person's feelings when they have problems and wanting to help them. But it also means to love and admire details of life, every sort of life. Empathy is actually feeling what other people feel, like when you see the look of a sad face, you tend to be sad, it's like the ability to put one's self in another person's shoes.
