Ok, i loved super mario for the 64. Now that i have a DS, im thinking about getting it for the DS. I've been tricked before with the console wars: a friend of mine had The Sims 2 for DS. I liked it so much i bought it for PS2. I wasted my money. i hated the PS2 version. it wasen't the same gameplay as it was for the DS. So Because The DS has super mario 64 how does it compare to that of the original super mario 64? i need people that have played both, not just how good 64 one is and how good the DS one is. i'll probally only buy it, if it is mostly the same gameplay and graphics as the 64 version with maybe a few extras and upgrades here and there. can anyone tell me the differences (good or bad) of the two, and what they think comparing the two? thanks

-Can't find a used copy of Super Mario DS anywhere around my area. cant return a brand new game and get your full $ back!
-renting it is $6.50 anyway. why bother to rent if you guys say it sucks. then i wasted $6.50 too!

REMEMBER: Mario 64 was designed and developed to be used with the "N64 trident" controller. I have both. The DS version is fun because they added new stuff. But the engine is hard to get used to. I would say buy it.

Oh yeah.....you can win mini games that you play outside of the main game. Some really fun stuff there.

If you can get past the control scheme for the DS, then the gameplay is great. However, I could not. The stylus control sucked and the D-pad did not cut it either. My advice, stick to the 64 version.

Why not buy it used from gamestop, if within 7 days you don't like it return it. Or you could just rent the game.
