Yeah, Islam is definitely one of those religions that just hasn't stepped into the 21st century... they live on old ideas that just aren't right anymore. There's a mosque close to where I live, and the women have to come through another entrance in the back. I don't understand why these women don't realize that is pretty degrading. Man is constantly glorified in Islam... whereas women are just in the shadows, taking care of everything.

um its more a cultural thing than a religios thing i think. T the time this is true in most religions the women where viewed to be less so even if the religion advicated than men and women are equel they will still probly follow the same thing its like the head srafes it was never acculy mentioned it was more of atadition of the cultureal that came to be thought it was part of the religion . Also its a modesty thing the men would be starring at the womens but . not sure if this is alegite ? or spam against muslims.

My sister married a man from the middle east and she became Muslim. Women are not important in their religion and the men are allowed to have many wives. Men and women are not allowed to intermingle at any type of gathering(picnics, family gatherings, etc.) She also said that if something were to happen to her, that none of the women in the family would be able to attend the funeral. Women are not allowed. Not even my mother(I don't think so!!) He had a hard time adjusting to our family because the women of our family are very strong and don't like being told what to do lol. My sister was always like that too so it is hard for me to understand how she could conform to that religion. They have 3 sons and a daughter. My sister is raising them the Muslim way.

My expensive Akeem- your question seems so vehement!!! - as when you're searching for an project. quiet down. before each and every thing women are not to any extent further forbidden from going to mosque - that's an inaccuracy - you'll see women are cutting-edge for prayers contained in the Grand Mosque in Mecca and Medinah. the in problem-free words difficulty that's placed on women to bypass to mosque is that if there are not any centers to accomodate them - because it truly is not achievable for the various sexes to face next to at least one yet another in prayer, So if there's a progression - double tale - each and each and every sex a unique storey. The third - it truly is not acceptable for women to bypass on my own to mosque with out a chaperone- it ought to reason "fitnah" - unfavorable and malicious accusations. In this manner of case if a women can't be followed by a chaperone or different women - God helps that it it truly is larger for her to wish at abode. on the different hand - adult males do no longer have that loophole - it truly is somewhat strongly by Mugammad (reported) stated that they carry out their prayers in congregation in a mosque.

Because in the Muslim religion, women are second class citizens. They are mutilated at a young age so they cannot enjoy sex, they must cover themselves head to toe and they must walk many steps behinf the men. Until recently, they weren't allowed to get an education. Sounds more like they're 3rd class citizens to me. It's very sad.

Your criticizm is pretty harsh. Islam is a beautiful, peaceful, fair religion. The mosque may simply b too small & not b able to have the women on the side of the men. The man is supposed to bring his teachings home to the family anyway. This arrangement allows a woman to leave in case a family emergency arises w/o disrupting the prayers. It also ensures that a woman beauty does not disrupt the thinking of the males also. This arrangement only PROTECTS us not ISOLATES us.
I only agree partially that women r treated poorly. In that a Muslim man I met ; I feel because of the things we shared he has blamed ME and has turned away from me instead of the sin itself. It is not fair as two people were involved equally....:( yet I m left holding the blame.....:(

i knew an egyptian girl many years ago and even at her bros. funeral, she and her mom had to sit in the back while the men stayed up front and prayed.yes the women are thought of as second class but she told us that they were also distractive to the men and thats why they had to stay in the back.kind of a sexual thing.if the women were present then the men couldn't "concentrate" on prayer. it's hard to believe in our culture but it still happens every day around the world and i think it sucks.

They are considered as second class citizens or even as possessions.
What other Religions make their women sit seperately from the men? Mine doesn't, women and children all sit together with their husbands and fathers as families.
