Put a hav-a-hart live trap under there with the bait that its instructions recommend. When the trap is sprung pick it up by the handle, put it in the car trunk ,and drive at least 3 miles away from your house. Kick the trap to turn it over and the groundhog will run for safety. Bring the trap home and reset it for any others still there.

Patience and a scoped rifle ;-) Or a Havahart trap (catches animals alive) and a long drive to release the furry animal under someone else's deck.

Find out its favorite food. Next, entice it with that food -- this is a safe method for you, and a non-intrusive nudge on its behalf, as well as a loving way to get it out from under your deck.

A win-win for both of you.

Try putting moth balls under it. Most animals hate the smell of them.
