My daughter spilled (ok, more like dumped) baby powder all over her room. The vacuum is just spewing the powder all over the place because it's so fine it just gets stirred up. The hand vac doesn't work either, it's too fine for the filter to catch it. I'm at a loss... maybe someone with experience can help? Thanks in advance!

Use one of those lint rollers. Good luck!

Let it settle and try to use a steam vac to suck up the powder and wipe the furniture with a damp bounty.

this happened to me ! My son emptied it on his head, the bed , and the cloud of powder, was on every book, shelf, toy, everywhere. You have to use water. It's aggravating as hell, but look at it this way...it could be worse. My son got the entire 18 pack of eggs, and broke them on his head, threw them up in the air and they landed on tables, and the floors from the kitchen to the dining room, and into the living room too. I didn't know whether to clean him up first or the floors, (linoleum, and I was wearing flip-flops !) It was like being in the Twilight Zone !

Sweep most of it up using a dustpan and hand broom. Once you have most of the mess taken care of, use tape to pick up the rest. It's a tedious process, but it will work.

Use a hose attachment: I have a similar problem with assorted forms of dirt on my hard floors.

Good luck!
