Well what are you looking for? Where do you live? Do you drive extremely often, can you drive stick, do you need seating for more than 2?
Volkswagen Passat is hard to beat for all-around value in a medium sedan.
I'ld recommend a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, or a Subaru WRX STI, Mazda speed 6 is nice too. These are all turbocharged four cylinder with four wheel drive, & should leave you some left over for options, financing, and insurance too. All these are more sporty if your looking for a little more comfort but still with a handling and power edge go with an Infiniti G35, or a Chrysler 300.

I heartily recommend www.consumerreports.com. They are knowledgeable, accurate and unbiased. Their information is about both new and used cars and trucks in all price ranges. This organization is particularly well known for its vehicle reliability information. You can also visit a library to view issues of their magazine Consumer Reports. Do your research!

You give insufficient data. What kind of car? Sporty, sedan, mini-van to transport your friends? Why do you want the car? To go very fast, to drift, to get super gas mileage, to impress the ladies, to race autocross, to have reliable transportation, penis extension, ego booster?
You have to be more specific. There are lots of cars out there.

Ok, a mercedes CLK is a pretty nice car...try for one of those. If not, try a BMW or maybe an older porsche. For an SUV, a cadillac SRX is very nice. For Pick-Up Truck, go for any ford...
GOOD LUCK!!!
