I´m sorry but I´m going to name only bad things that came from Spain; the ancient natives had no defense against some diseases the Spanish brought with them to the New World:
typhus
measles
cholera
dysentery
the flu

Somebody had to mention the bad things the Spanish took from Spain!!

I have lived in Spain for the past 2 years there are a lot of things that come from Spain. Sangria for one, also they are known for their Sherry, as well as their olives and olive oil, Bull fights and the Tomatio festival.

The Spanish are responsible for inventing 2 things,
The mop.
The lollipop stick.
Not sure of too many more ground breaking inventions that they are responsible for, these are the only 2 we could come up with after many years of debate in spanish bars.
