If you already don't have much of an idea, you probably won't figure it out for a few more years. I'm already in college (2nd year now), and I still am not sure. But I have some idea at least of what I want to do. I'm starting to go with that.
So basically, go with what you're good with. Or go with something you really really want to do. You know you'll like it, but you don't have to be absolutely great at it right now. That's what college is for.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics puts out the Occupational Outlook Handbook. This gives a listing of occupations, salary, and educational requirements. It also tells you if an occupation is expected to have more, less, or the same amount of job openings in coming years. Check out this website:

There are tests you can take to see what you might be good at and what professions best fit you. As far as worrying about what you want to be when you grow up....don't worry about it. You still have high school to finish and usually your first two years of college are academic classes. You have time! You will probably change your major at least once as you grow and learn.

I would suggest being a Pyschiatrist or Psychotherapist. This would involve being a compassionate person and listening to people and helping them sort out their problems. You could even start your own practice and not have to work for someone after time. Plus you would make somewhere near 125 dollars an hour

Or Google "career assessment test" it will tell you what you'd be good at according to some questions. Good luck, but you have plenty of time to figure it out. Don't panic, most people don't know what they want to do until they get well into college.

Well I'm in High school and I have been told you don't know what you will get in to until you get in collage. You may start with a low pay career and then you move on up to make more $. :p

Take a look at what interests you, then see what sort of careers revolve around your interests. Attend any career fairs that your school may offer (i.e. people with various careers come into school and talk about their jobs).

You should go make an appointment with the Guidance Counselor in your school. That is what they are there for.

Find something you like and are good at...don't worry about pay now, or you'll just make yourself miserable through college and through life...
