I'm pretty much already in debt, am in between jobs and live at home. Next year, I'm looking to make a career change, as well.

Life at home has been getting quite stressful. My parent has a pretty strong personality, and due to my upbringing about respecting your elders, etc.. I take a lot of guff.. and now, inside my head, it's getting to a near boiling point...which is not good.

Thus, I figure, to save my relationship as a son, as well as to live on my own, which I definitely crave, I'm considering taking out a large cash advance on my credit card...and remember, I am already in debt... I'm wondering if this will be worth it.. now, I don't have any other places to 'crash' at, like friends' houses or those of extended family members'.

Should I take the financial hit (I'm sure I'll land work and probably find a second job, too) in the short-term, but pay it off gradually so I can make this move? Living at home has definitely affected my eteem as a man, as well..

Absolutely Not, to the cash advance. Your full of ifs Ands and, maybes, tomorrows and next years. Your dealing with something that hasn't come your way in any sense or form. Ask a banker friend what he thinks. Your way over extended on something that isn't yours to Begin with.
Your committing fraud, that's the legal term for it. I did know one guy that thought the same way. His pa got him a credit card for small stuff, the card company, as always, increased it without knowing, this guy was thinking like you.
Well it went to something like 100K so, this joker takes three friends and starts a world trek. Six weeks later and broke he lands at home again. To make it short. he was working on his eighth year of just the interest on what he spent. They settled for 200K don't do it unless you have everything right there, these cards are not sent out on hopes and dreams or we'd all have everything we wanted.
