If you are told that you think too much. Is this a bad thing?
If your thinking is not blowing things out of proportion, clouding your judgement, making mountains out of molehills, or creating imaginary anxieties, when or why is it wrong to think too much?

Hi Trish - I don't mean the insignificant, tricial stuff like that, I mean all the things that I can't get my head around and want to - life's unknowns, I guess

It's not except on tests where there's a simple question but you overanalyze it. That may fall under molehills to mountains, though. If you are told that you're thinking too much (by someone you don't particularly care for), reply "You're just jealous of my superior intellect."

I think that thinking to much becomes a problem when it interferes with your every day life. if all you can do is think of what is coming, what you said yesterday and what this or that person did, etc. well eventually it will lead to an anxiety problem. the thing to do is this, when you have something you have to think about, go ahead and think but then work it out and let it go.

it really depends on what you are thinking about, if tunnel vision sets in then it becomes compulsive, other wise, if we did not think, we would not be much more than vegetables. the conscience mind thinks that it is in control of our actions, actually it doesn't have a clue as what really is going on around us. the sub-conscience levels of thinking are how we really work. you can get in touch with your sub-conscience level in daydreams, meditation, through you pupil of your eyes looking in a mirror. this takes a little practice, but you would be surprised how you can set your daily goals and run pretty much on auto pilot. try it out.

It is never wrong to think, you are the only one who knows what you're thinking or how much.
Thinking keeps the brain working at a better level. Always think, it will keep you out of trouble.

It is okay to think but when you start putting these thoughts out there constantly and expecting your friends to listen - you become a drama queen - not good.
