This question is for people born between December 20 and December 30. I was born on Christmas Day, and for my whole life it's been "Here's your Christmas/birthday gift!" I could just puke. Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but really, come on!

To all of you that are calling me an "ingrate", you are wrong. My issue with the whole "let's join her birthday and Christmas gifts together" idea is that it seems cheap. I would rather someone say, "here's your gift" and leave it at that. But when you announce that you're joining them together in some 2-for-1 deal, it makes you look like a Scrooge. I'm not looking for extra gifts here.

My bday is the 27th and yeah every year I feel like nobody even cares about my bday. Quite often I hear a few days later "oh yeah wasn't your bday the other day? I totally forgot..hahaha!" When I was younger all my friends would combine my gifts so I started doing that to them even though their bday would be over the summer so they'd know how it felt. It's not so much the gift itself. It's the fact that your bday is just totally forgotten because of christmas and I know that's always hurt my feelings. Usually for anyone to remember my bday at all I have to mention it several times. I know the holidays are busy but you shouldn't be like that with your friends and family.

I bet that is crummy... I have heard of people with birthdays so close to Christmas having their birthday celebration in July. Just a thought! BTW, I don't think it is ungrateful... Everyone knows that if your birthday is on Christmas, people just takes one of your Christmas presents and make it a birthday present. Your birthday gets totally overshadowed. I understand the frustration!

Sometimes you can get it to work to your advantage. Like, ask for something larger and say it can be your birthday and Christmas gift. I know your pain=) I know you don't mean to sound ungrateful but you feel ripped off.

Christmas is supposed to be about giving, not receiving. Someone gives you a present and you wanna puke? Come on!
My favorite part of Christmas is picking gifts for my nephews. Getting stuff back is just a bonus. Especially when It's been selected with thought. As far as my birthday goes, I'm just happy to go to dinner. Actually my birthday falls in the same week as mothers' day, so that's pretty uncomfortable as well.

My birthday is also on Christmas Day. Many people say that to me too. Once, I got two diaries, and they were my birthday presents. My sister thought they were my Christmas presents, and since we have to share our Christmas presents, she wanted the nicer diary for herself. She told my mom. My mom didn't even look up and said to give her the one she wanted. It is terrible.

My sister's birthday is dec 21st. she knows what it is like. Mine is a day before my egocentric mother's birthday so when they start singing happy birthday to me, it finishes up with happy birthday mom. she smiles and the world is safe once again.

So you would rather have 2 cheaper items that 1 more expensive item ?
Sounds like you are an ingrate so people are probably dropping you from the gift cycle anyway . . .
Just think, you won't have to sweat it any more because they might be wising up !

Well Buffy you sure do sound ungrateful. Be glad you get anything. Keep your present attitude and that may change.
