some how i have got a setting that will not allow me to print because it is a "read only" document. I don't know how to take this off so i can print from my pc

I do not know what word processing u are using. If it only one document u can open the doc and save under a new name or u can right on the icon for the doc and at the bottom of the options click properties uncheck the read-only box.

Read only's can be printed. Doesn't it ask you if you want to open as read only when you open it? Say no.

Right Click on the file from within windows explorer. Select Properties. Uncheck Read Only.

Right click the document and go to properties.
At the bottom you are going to see the options that
says read only and hidden. Uncheck the read only one.
After that, you should be able to do anything you want
to that document.

right click on it, go to properties and take read only off, its ur doing it from a disk you wont be able to undo that.
