What is the best way to ask him? I dont talk to him in person usually (but i would like to ask him out in person) how do i do that? Whenever i try i feel discouraged because im afraid he'd say no. What should i say if he says no? or yes? i need help!

The best way to go about asking him is not being too excited. Have a smile on, but act indifferent and nonchalant about the whole situation. Indifference will help you with finding a job, asking someone out, asking people for help, and everything.
When you act indifferent, it builds people's impulse and interest since you're supposed to be excited about it. Indifference is the opposite wat to feel and it makes people want to know why. Therefore, this guy will be much more open to want to go out with you.
Go up to him, smile and simply ask him if he heard about the dance on Friday. Than ask him simply by saying that, "I was just wondering if you wanted to go with me." If he says yes, ACT INDIFFERENT, shrug your shoulders and say cool. You can celebrate later in the privacy of your room. If he says no, do the same thing. "Ok cool, I was just wondering." Then walk away indifferently and you are waaaay more likely that he will call you back, or come back to you later and say yes, because you acted like you didn't care whether he said yes or no.

you need to first kinda flirt with him. Then, at the same time as your waiting, ask him if he needs to bypass, that you'll both say as associates or dont say something in any respect. a million). hey, i replaced into questioning in case you had to bypass to the dance with me, becuase we are associates and also you dont have a date, and that i dont have a date, so it will be relaxing. 2). hey, i replaced into questioning in case you had to bypass to the dance with me on friday. i imagine it will be somewhat somewhat relaxing.

Bring it up casually maybe.
Say you're going in a group and invite him along (everything is easier in a group) and if it doesn't go well there's the rest of the group to make the night more bearable

first things first, is he going to the dance, does he have a date already and be prepared to say you have a date just in case hes not going, or cant go with you for whatever reason....otherwise just ask and watch him say yes....lead to the do u want to go together question for the end....after u know if hes up to going with u or with another....i think he will say yes so go for it..!
